Interior States is a book where design moves beyond surfaces to embody memory, mood, and sensation. Here, light, texture, and form are not mere aesthetics but emotional architectures, shaping spaces that linger long after the eye moves on. Guided by Selune, the ancient moon goddess of intuition and transformation, this work unfolds in rhythms of ebb and flow, mirroring the tides of our inner worlds. Each chapter becomes an invitation to inhabit a different state of being, like stillness, grief, and joy, translated through the language of typography, materiality, and spatial imagination. More than a collection of interiors, this book is a tactile archive of the unseen, a luxury object for reflection as much as for design.
Every element of Interior States was carefully considered. The imagery is chosen for its ability to evoke emotion rather than simply decorate, the typography is selected to complement each chapter’s mood, and the overall design is shaped in InDesign to create a seamless, immersive flow. The result is a cohesive visual design that mirrors the book’s exploration of feeling, memory, and transformation. This project was not an assignment but a personal endeavor, created in my own time as both a study in design expression and a way to strengthen my portfolio. More than showcasing skills, it represents my commitment to pushing interior design beyond function into the realm of experimentation.
